| My biggest strength is in using adobe Illustrator. I do a lot of drawing and sketching and so a lot of my work is done in Illustrator. I have been drawing from a very young age and have improved my craft over the years alot. |

Portfolio

This illustration is called "Temple of the King" after the song by the metal artist Dio while with the band Rainbow. It depicts a red skull with a tower and a staircase climbing to the sun protruding from with head.
When creating this piece, I first drew everything out seperatly on paper. Once i drew everything I scanned it and brought it into Photoshop where I used the levels and curve tools make the lines more visible. This would help me later on when tracing everything in Illustrator.
finally in Illustrator, I trace everything and add the colours that I want. The trick here is to get the stacking order of each layer correctly and grouping elements together in a logical way.

| This piece is my first real attempt at drawing in japanese manga art style. I want to try drawing and becoming familiar with a veriety of different art styles and japanese manga is just another avenue. For this work I was heavily inspired by the style in "Jojo's Bizzare adventure" where everything is very exagerated and over the top, from the colours to the facial expression. The drawing is of myself but is heavily influenced by the look of the character from the manga named Yoshikage Kira. |
